Album Info:Here is a three-page article by Mr. William F. Ellis entitled "Railroaders Want A Runaway." Photos by Mr. John F. Endler, Jr. They were published originally in the January 1953 issue of "Trains & Travel" magazine, pages 16-18. "The two roads that bring 40,000 fans to the Army-Navy game in Philadelphia every year don't care who wins, just so the score is lopsided." (Page 16) Also included are two duplicate 35mm color slides that are related to this event.

Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 28 November 1953. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4893 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4893 was built in Juniata during April of 1940. In this context, they're waiting to depart with passengers who've just attended the Army-Navy football game The final score was Army 20, Navy 7! ("Stoneborobranch"; #6 of 10)
